How does Kapp calculate the optimal heat exchanger for a specific application?
Every heat exchanger design begins with a detailed analysis of the process. As part of this, we assess, amongst other things, the flow rate, temperatures, pressures, media, required heat capacity, available space and any contamination factors.
Using thermal calculations, our engineers determine the optimum heat exchange surface area, pressure drop, flow rates and choice of materials. We also take into account maintenance, service life, energy consumption and future expansion options.
The result is a heat exchanger that not only meets current process requirements, but also offers an optimal balance between investment, efficiency and Total Cost of Ownership.
