How can waste heat be reused in industrial processes?
In many industrial processes, a significant proportion of the heat generated is lost via flue gases, cooling water or process streams. A heat exchanger can be used to recover this residual heat and put it to use again.
For example, waste heat can be used for:
- Preheating of process water;
- Heating of buildings;
- Steam generation;
- Heat pumps;
- Other process stages within the same plant.
By recovering heat, we reduce energy consumption, cut CO₂ emissions and lower operating costs.
