Jeroen van Ruitenbeek reflects on 2025 and looks ahead to 2026
Looking back on 2025, what are you proud of, and what ambitions will you carry with you into 2026? These are two questions that undoubtedly came up during the Christmas dinner. On behalf of Kapp Nederland, Managing Director Jeroen van Ruitenbeek is happy to answer them.
Looking back on 2025
“2025 was a year of highs and lows for Kapp Nederland. The sudden passing of our deeply valued colleague and stalwart Reinier affected us profoundly. I am very grateful for the strength and solidarity within our team during this period.
We wish his family all the best and will be here for them.”
Jeroen continues: “Despite a difficult investment climate, particularly in the chemical sector, we managed to achieve good results as a team. We made significant contributions to various sustainability projects, including in the areas of biogas, carbon capture, and district heating. And although Kapp primarily focuses on the Benelux and Germany, we demonstrated our international capabilities by serving end customers spread across the globe.”
“We also appreciate the ongoing impact that Tjark, former managing director and now non-executive director, is making as chairman of Stichting Warmtenetwerk and as Chair of the Board at HTRI, two highly valuable organizations for us.”
“We would also like to express our sincere gratitude to our partners Kelvion, Vahterus, HRS, Thermon, and Nexson, as well as our strong network of specialists. Our long-standing collaboration allows us to bring out the best in each other.”
Looking ahead to 2026
“We have some great projects in the pipeline in the field of industrial heat pumps and hydrogen, and I see opportunities surrounding ammonia — from import to cracking and transport,” says Jeroen.”
“We have also strengthened our team with Martin (heat transfer engineer) and Marit (communications advisor). Both have already proven themselves to be committed and enthusiastic colleagues and will ensure that we start 2026 full of energy.”
“Finally, I would like to thank our valued clientele. Thanks to their trust and our wonderful collaborations, we can continue to make an impact,” Jeroen concludes.
We wish everyone a wonderful 2026!
