In Memoriam: Reinier (1975-2025)

We are deeply saddened by the sudden passing on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, of our dearly beloved colleague, Reinier Algera.

With his boundless dedication, passion for the profession, and infectious smile, he inspired us for 23 years. Reinier was not only a highly valued colleague but also a mentor and pillar of support for many of us. His vast knowledge of heat transfer and the way he shared it made him a true authority in our field.

We will miss him deeply and cherish the many beautiful memories he leaves behind.

Today we said our final farewell to Reinier. Our thoughts and deepest sympathies go out to his family and friends.
